Fund-NC Housing Finance Agency
The N.C. Foreclosure Prevention Fund helps North Carolina homeowners who are struggling to make their mortgage payments due to job loss or temporary financial hardship. For qualified mortgages, the Fund can pay your mortgage and other related expenses.

Salisbury Housing Authority
The Salisbury Housing Authority provides safe and decent rental housing for eligible low income individuals/families. It does not provide section 8. Applications are taken Thursdays between 8:30am and 3:30pm. There is a $125.00 security deposit required and monthly rent is based on income.

Emergency financial assistance is available for rent, utilities, water/sewer, prescriptions. Emergency funds available only with a disconnection notice on utilities or a court ordered eviction notice with rent. If requesting 1st month's rent, client must be employed & bring copy of lease agreement. Financial assistance is given out based on funds available.

Habitat for Humanity of
Rowan County
Habitat for Humanity is always accepting applications for home ownership. To qualify, applicants must have lived in Rowan County for one year, be willing to partner with Habitat in building their home, and be able to pay Habitat back for the cost of the house over a 20 year period. homeowner payments average slightly over $400 a month and include homeowner insurance and property taxes. The loan is a zero interest, no down payment loan.

Children's Developmental Services Agencies
Local Children's Developmental Services Agencies are available to help families, caregivers, and professionals serve children with special needs. The services that are offered are the following: Developmental and other testing at no cost to families, Service Coordination which assist families in identifying needs and finding resources. They also offer therapies along with other interventions (cost of therapies are based on a state sliding fee scale).
