Food & Clothing Assistance 

Melfield United Church of Christ

Offers emergency food assistance boxes every second Saturday from 9 AM to 11:30 AM. On Wednesdays and Fridays, they give away fruits and vegetables from 11AM-12 PM.

Dream Align 

Offers emergency food assistance and clothing pantry open on Monday and Friday at 10am. The clothing and food pantry are first come, first serve.

Southern Alamance Family Empowerment or S.A.F.E

Offers personalized emergency food assistance by appointment only. Additionally, they partner with Cone Health to provide clinical services including, health screening, assistance managing medical care, and medication assistance.

Family Support Services

Piedmont Rescue Mission

Offers parenting and infant care classes for new moms and items such as: baby food, diapers, baby furniture. Additionally, offers programs to help moms through their first year of motherhood. The program also has a thrift store with various items and clothing restocked every Tuesday.

Women's Resource Center 

in Alamance County

Program offers mentoring, financial education, and career counseling. Additionally, they host monthly luncheons with presentations and networking opportunities.

Offers access to childcare, food and nutritional support programs, and economic relief. Additional resources are listed on website.

Health Department

Offers clinics for children’s health and dental. The maternity clinic offers prenatal care and nutrition counseling. There are also special programs such as Case Management for High-Risk Pregnancies (CMARC), WIC, and on-site Medicaid certification for pregnant women who qualify.

Freedom's Hope

Freedom's Hope has a variety of programs to offer, including financial assistance, case management, and a free health clinic. Additionally, they have a community center complete with a shower, washer/dryer, snacks and coffee. Every Thursday at 11am a community meal is served in the community center.

Housing Assistance

Allied Churches of Alamance

County

Offers emergency shelter 24 hours 7 days a week, with food services that are free to all who need it. The program also aids in case management to help residents obtain long-term housing.
